‘ Monday Orchestra ‘ was born during spring 2006 by a Luca Missiti’s and Pietro Squecco’s original idea: the purpose was to get together the best young musicians available, promising themselves to create a staff capable of reinterpreting swing classics and jazz standards, but also pop and funk songs re-arrangements. Since its birth many members of the band have been changing and only in November 2006 each role started being fixed, until the actual group of musicians. Luca Missiti, arranger and director of the big-band, proposed in 2009 the idea of carrying out a recording which could represent the route traced during those years. The project, achieved at the end of the year, had its release in 2010.
