A Self-taught musician who improved himself with Tommaso Lama, Mario Petracca, Joe Diorio e Jerry Bergonzi. Since 1982 he’s been on Turin jazz scene with different bands. Over the years he’s been performing in Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Turkey and Albania and Montenegro, playing with well-known musicians such as Massimo Manzi, Lello Molinari, Felice Reggio, Carlo Sola, Franco Cerri, Romano Mussolini, Dick Mazzanti, Gianni Negro, Larry Nocella, Fabrizio Bosso, Giorgio Rosciglione, Giorgio Li Calzi, Maurizio Carugno, Tal Farlow, Tanaka Takehisa, Matcho Winterstein, Tony Green, Gianni Basso, Rudy Migliardi.
Yves Rossignol: double bass
He’s an eclectic musician who alternates his activity between classical music,working with different symphonic orchestras in Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Jazz Music, collaborating with the most important musicians on Italian and international jazz scene, with different bands conducted by Pietro Ballestrero, Danilo Pala, Luca Biggio, Paolo Porta, Gianni Basso, Fulvio Albano, Italian Sax Ensemble, Torino Jazz Orchestra, Vittorio Castelli, Dino Piana, Max Ionata, Franco Cerri, George Robert, David Glasser, Dusko Goykovitch, Tom Kirkpatrick, Valery Ponomarev, Jim Rotondi . He’s accustomed to great ensembles though along with trio, which includes guitar and “interplay” opportunities, he’s able to express himself to the best of his sensitivity.
Freedom of interpretation with the widest meaning it’s the core feature of this project carried on by Marco Parodi and Yves Rossignol since several years. A continuum of interplay is the engine where ideas and emotions turn into roads where you can begin your journey. A great occasion to lose yourself through real musical creativity; alternating quiet moments with rhythmic outbursts, the duo offers a repertoire of jazz standards and unreleased compositions following the tradition of duets interpreted by Joe Pass with double bass player such as Niels Pedersen and Red Mitchell. An overview where nothing is predictable except passion for music and longing for amusement.
