‘ Nausicaa ‘ London based Danish guitarist and composer, Kristian Borring, has been cited as “a rising talent on the new London jazz scene.” – (Time Out). He plays regularly in Tommaso Starace’s Quartet and has among others performed with Antonio Zambrini and Laurence Cottle. He steers a steady course through his original contemporary jazz material from his new album ‘NAUSICAA’ (released on Ultra Sound Records) that is both elaborate and gently propulsive. Borring’s clear-sighted improvisations navigate changing time signatures, melodic grooves and rich harmony with the vibrant support of Arthur Lea on piano/Fender Rhodes (Paragon, Seb Pipe), Spencer Brown on double bass (Porpoise Corpus) and Jon Scott on drums (Kairos Quartet, Paragon). The new release also features special guest, NYC based alto saxophonist, Will Vinson (Jonathan Kreisberg, Ari Hoenig).
