‘ The Moon and the Sun ‘, il nuovo album del “The Moon and the Sun” is the new album by Stefano Clemente, guitarist from apulia, with his AJE – APULIA JAZZ ENSEMBLE, a project of modern and contemporary improvised music, having his roots in jazz as a common language between musicians coming from Apulia’s land: Gaetano Patripilo (alto sax), Raffaele Casarano (soprano sax), Davide Santorsola (piano), Luca Alemanno (double bass), Mimmo Campanale (drums). Special guest, Flavio Boltro’s trumpet, strongly required by Stefano Clemente due to the great affinity of the trumpeter’s sound with album’s mood and atmosphere.
Produced by Ultra Sound Records and promoted with Puglia Sounds Associationsupport, the record it’s the ideal sequel of Stefano Clemente’s compositional jazz vortex , begun in 2011 with “Desiderata” (record produced by Dodicilune).
AJE’s purpose is to spread across different national and international contexts a multimedia art performance characterized by a strong positive vibe , capable of joining other art forms. such as dance and visuals.
Collaboration with Flavio Boltro:
Stefano Clemente decided to have as a special gues Flavio Boltro when he was at one of Flavio’s concert: during trumpeter’s exibition there has been a sort of epiphany, his sound was completely affine to the mood of some album’s pieces . That’s way “Hard times” and “Skyfall” were born, the fourth and the seventh track respectively.
