‘ Stefano Bagnoli We Kids Trio ‘ Everything started in Sicily during summer 2010 and 2011, between Vittoria and piazza Armerina, two small town having, since many years, a popular divulgation role extremely relevant for national Jazz with their respective Festivals, Workshop and Contests. Among many young talents partecipating, Bagnoli find two of them who decide to experiment with a first trial meeting. “WE KIDS” beyond the ironic name, it means music as a dispassionate erasure of each stated age! Leting the time flow, learning from young people who, they still learning themselves, getting inside an inexhaustible vortex of exchanges which must be seized and growing up through. STEFANO BAGNOLI
Born 1963, he also joined early jazz scene, with a full spectrum experience as a jazzman,strengthening during thirty years of career, he’s been artistically involved since a long time with Paolo Fresu, Dino Rubino, Franco Ambrosetti, Paolino DallaPorta, Riccardo Fioravanti, Paolo Jannacci, Giovanni Mazzarino, Giuseppe Mirabella, Nello Toscano and many others.
Through Awesome discography, since 1978 untill today, he has been working alongside great current and past artists such as Gianni Basso, Renato Sellani, Franco Cerri, Paolo Tomelleri, Carlo Bagnoli, Mario Rusca, Sante Palumbo, Francesco Cafiso, Fabrizio Bosso, Massimo Moriconi, Gianni Coscia, Enrico Rava, Bruno De Filippi, Michael Rosen, Mauro Negri, Bebo Ferra.
Important overseas collaborations are also those with Clark Terry, Harry Sweet Edison, Buddy De Franco, Johnny Griffin, Cedar Walton, Bob Wilber, Kenny Davern, Miroslav Vitous, Benny Bailey, Jimmy Woode, Tom Harrell, Al Grey, Sir Roland Hanna, Lee Konitz, Ralph Sutton, Slide Hampton, Curtis Fuller, Bobby Watson, George Garzone, Bob Mintzer, Scott Hamilton, Peter Washington, Steve Grossman, Chuco Waldes, Chico Buarque, Sarah Jane Morris.
FRANCESCO PATTI
Born in Palermo in 1994 met music at the age of five, thanks to the piano, an instrument he studied for four years.
It was “Love at first sight” with the saxophone after a concert of Francesco Cafiso’s quartet (by chance Bagnoli was on drums), and so he began studying this instrument at the age of 12 years at jazz music school “the Brass Group “with M° Francesco Marchese.
After four years of study he was selected for the third edition of “Vittoria Rotary Jazz Award” and during the same year attended “Jazz Plaza 2010″seminars, meeting Francesco Cafiso and many other famous musicians.
In December 2010 he won a scholarship as a prize for the best talent in the first edition of “Pippo Ardini” contest.
During summer 2001 joined again the “Victory Rotary Jazz Award” and “Piazza Jazz 2011” winning a scholarship for “Piazza Jazz 2012”.
He was placed second in “Enzo Randisi” contest, in Palermo.
He won the audience award and was placed second in the national contest “Chicco Bettinardi 2012”, in Piacenza.
Currently is a member of “We Kids” trio created by Stefano Bagnoli.
GIUSEPPE CUCCHIARA
Born in Caltanissetta on August 18, 1994 he started studying music when he was eight at Villarosa’s big band, in the town where he lived.
In 2006 he attended ” Berklee Clinics Summer School at Umbria Jazz”. After this experience Giuseppe decided to start studying music steadily attending the “Accademia Musicale Siciliana” where initially studied alto saxophone , stopping after on year for health reasons cause by the same instrument. So he decided to study piano and to deepen harmony basics with M° Francesco Cultreri and M°Giovanni Mazzarino.
In 2009, following his father’s (a double bass player), and Giovanni Mazzarino‘s (his teacher) advices tried to study double bass along with piano, until he decided to study the first of two.
In 2010 he attended “Piazz aJazz 2010” workshops, winning the second prize.
In 2011 he attended “Umbria jazz clinics” winning the “Berklee Five Week Program” and a concert at “Umbria Jazz Winter 2011” festival, moreover he joined “Enzo Randisi” contest winning the first prize for the “Sicilians under 26” category and being placed third at “Vittoria Jazz Award”.
Currently is a member of “We Kids” trio created by Stefano Bagnoli.
